Abstract:
    Let <i>R(X)</i> denote the set of all relations on a set <i>X</i>. Then <i>R(X) </i>becomes a semigroup under composition. The purpose of this paper is to describe the element of <i>R(X)</i> which is left cancellative and right cancellative.
