This volume of the International Journal of Pharmacology, Phytochemistry and Ethnomedicine (JPPE) is revealed by the article of the editor-in-chief overviewed the most outstanding advantages of the JPPE. Rest items of this publication show the latest scientific investigations concerned with study of the interaction of lidocaine drug with natural cellulosic fibers; examination of the potential use of a food-dyeing plant Peristrophe bivalvis (L.) Merr. in Northern Vietnam; the physiochemical evaluation of kidney, liver and stomach following pineapple juice injections in normal Wistar rats; qualitative and quantitative determination of the polyphenolic compounds that exist in plants with bioactive potentially; identification of the possible chemosensitizing effects of different doses of indol-3-carbinol on solid Ehrlich carcinoma treated with doxorubicin in mice; description of the specific features of the distribution of Romanian patients with pancreatic neoplasm; assessment of the neuroprotective effects of Methanolic leaf extract of Ficus benghalensis L. against alloxan induced diabetic rats. In conclusion we glad to present our readers a review designed to highlight the chemical constituents and pharmacological potentials of some Nigeria plants used in experimental diabetes.
