  • High-Temperature Oxidation and Corrosion 2005
This volume contains 80 selected peer-reviewed papers, divided into the sections: Fundamentals of High-Temperature Oxidation and Corrosion, Steam Oxidation and Influence of Hydrogen, Protective Coatings and Surface Treatments, Mechanical and Chemical Aspects of Scale Adhesion, Corrosion in Incinerators and Metal Dusting and Oxidation of Ceramics and Intermetallics.
  • New Frontiers of Processing and Engineering in Advanced Materials
Materials science which focuses on clarifying a material’s properties at the micro- and nano-scale is rapidly accelerating the production of new advanced materials. The production of such materials, developed in this new century, will promote the growth of wholly new industries in a variety of engineering fields.
  • High Temperature Corrosion and Protection of Materials 6
The major concern of this book is high-temperature corrosion; a form of surface disintegration that leads to high running costs, as well as to environmental and/or security problems.
  • Progress in Advanced Materials and Processes
These proceedings, PROGRESS IN ADVANCED MATERIALS AND PROCESSES, include selected papers which were presented at the Fifth Yugoslav Materials Research Society Conference (Yu-MRS Meeting), held in Herceg Novi, Yugoslavia, September 15-19th, 2003. The previous four conferences were also held there, and the Yugoslav Materials Research Society was formed as a non-governmental, non-profit, scientific association, whose main goals and tasks are to encourage creativity in materials science and engineering, to achieve the harmonic coordination of these fields in Serbia and Montenegro, and to link these researches to analogous activities carried out worldwide; in order to incorporate them into international – even global - programs. Materials science and engineering involve the acquisition of knowledge concerning the synthesis and processing of materials, their composition and structure, properties and behaviour, characteristics and potential, and their application in devices, machines, consumer units and other finished products. Our economic prosperity, quality of life and hopes for a healthy environment are closely connected with improvements in existing products and the development of new ones together with their associated processing technologies.
  • Magnesium Alloys 2003

Magnesium alloys are among the most promising ecomaterials for various high-tech applications in the 21st Century. This 2-volume set comprises the proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Platform Science and Technology for Advanced Magnesium Alloys (PSTAM 2003). The papers cover a wide spread of perspectives on the academic fundamentals, and industrial applications, of magnesium alloys.

  • Advanced Powder Technology III
This volume focuses on the technology of metal and ceramic powders.
  • Textures of Materials - ICOTOM 13
Texture is a fundamental material characteristic which results from the microstructural evolution that takes place during various processes, including the thermomechanical deformation of materials. Therefore, texture-related phenomena will continue to be of great importance, because of their scientific interest as well as their effect upon industrial applications, in the 21st century.
  • Aluminium Alloys 2002
This 3-volume set comprises the proceedings of the Eighth International Conference on Aluminium Alloys: Their Physical and Mechanical Properties. The papers present the latest viewpoints of the world's leading aluminium experts concerning the basic understanding, and application, of aluminium alloys. The proceedings cover a wide range of related topics and represent the views of both academia and industry.
  • Electrochemical and Chemical Reactivity of Amorphous and Nanocrystalline Materials
This book deals with the chemical and electrochemical reactivity of novel materials in various environments. Special emphasis is put on metastable materials such as amorphous and nanostructured materials including carbon nanostructures and the novel bulk metallic glasses. Properties include corrosion resistance, electrochemical and catalytic activities, hydrogen sorption properties etc. The materials are made by various non-equilibrium processes such as rapid-quenching, high energy ball milling and thin film deposition techniques. Hydrogen storage and new materials for Ni-MH batteries are topics of particular interest in this book.
  • High Temperature Corrosion and Protection of Materials 5
The degradation of materials and coatings in aggressive environments continues to be of great relevance to a wide range of industrial applications. The topic is of vital economic concern to the transportation, energy generation, and chemical processing industries in the developing, as well as the developed, nations of the world. The dual thrusts of conservation of resources and protection of the environment here strongly influence the tone of the technical submissions and thus again reflect the world-wide concern.
